Below is the recently amended D2 Policy, amended and approved at the past board meeting on October 6th. Please contact either of the D2 Head Commissioners for questions.

DIVISION II DEADLINES FOR 10-11 SEASONAL YEAR AND FOR 2011 PRESIDENT’S CUP:
1. March 1, 2011 - Deadline for Division II Rosters (Pool Rosters)
March 1 is the deadline for forming and registering Division II pool rosters for President’s Cup. Minimum, legal size for pools is the number of field players for the age/gender group +1, e.g., U10 minimum size is 7. Note that all rosters submitted are pools until declared as final, permanent rosters. Registration includes submitting roster and photos for coach/player passes plus payment of DII registration and pass fee of $25.
2. April 12, '11 is Deadline for submission of permanent Division II TEAM rosters for the President's Cup from the Pools. Instructions for submitting final Division II TEAM rosters will be provided soon on the President's Cup web page.
3. April 14, '11 - Opening Day of Registration for 2010 President’s Cup to be hosted by TYSA.
4. April 26, '11 - Deadline to Register for 2010 President’s Cup. Register Here
(IMPORTANT NOTE: Registration for President’s Cup may be ended sooner if maximum number of teams in certain age/gender groups are reached or if acceptance of additional teams creates unacceptable bracketing. As a result, early registration of teams is encouraged.)
5. April 30, '11 - Freeze Date for Division II President’s Cup Teams. Players may be added to permanent rosters until the Freeze Date. NO changes will be permitted to rosters after the freeze date!
6. May TBA 2011 President’s Cup - hosted by Tupelo Youth Soccer Assn
Corresponding Notes to accompany MSA info above:
1. All pools should be formed and registered by March 1 in order to later participate in the President's Cup. However, players may be deleted and added to the pool after that date.
2. Those teams that decide they want to go to Tupelo for the President's Cup must submit a permanent D2 TEAM roster from the pools and that deadline is April 12th. I would shoot for a week before that if possible to insure all is done correctly.
3. Registration for President's Cup begins. It has been a first come - first served system so if you know your team wants to go -- register early....
4. Deadline for registering for President's Cup is April 26th. However, in some age groups -- space has been still available after that date and they have reopened registration in some brackets.
5. April 30 is the FREEZE date for D2 rosters for President's Cup -- no changes (deletions, additions, etc) can be made after this date for the Teams going to President's Cup.
However, for the State games competition you can make changes after the President's Cup is over! At least we could last year so if that is needed by your team -- you can verify that with MSA.
6. President's Cup is in Tupelo on May 20-22nd. Unfortunately I just realized this is the same weekend as Oak Grove High School's graduation and I think many area schools including Petal High will have their graduation that same weekend... Please start checking now with your families to be sure that you would have enough players able to attend if your team wants to go to that tournament. Our team may not make it because our son graduates on May 21 and we will be here that weekend.... Unless we can get a parent added to the roster as an asst coach -- we will probably just focus on State Games.
